Microsoft today announced that more than half of Android device OEM’s and ODM’s are now under licensing agreement with Microsoft for its Patents. Microsoft in its tenth license agreement provided coverage under patent portfolio for Android mobile phones and tablets. This marks Microsoft’s ninth Android agreement in the last four months and whats more important is that companies accounting for more than half of all Android devices have now entered into patent license agreements with Microsoft. Microsoft plans to make it big at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 (in January) where they plan to release Tango 1 update to the Windows Phone 7.5 and at the Mix 2012 (in April) it plans to issue Tango 2 update, according to a roadmap of Microsoft published by MS nerd blog.
