HTC HD2 gets Unofficial Mango

The HTC HD2 is probably one of the most versatile devices out there with the ability to run multiple OS such as Android, Meego, Ubuntu, Windows Phone 7 and of course the native Windows Mobile. All thanks to the amazing devs at xda who behind its success, and now we have Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango” (RTM) ready for the HD2 !

The ROM is Build 7.0.7004.0, so it’s the original Windows Phone launched last year and is available in English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish, with the possibility of updating all the way to 7720, which is Mango RTM. Although the Mango ROM is just not the only treat for the users but its ability to be officially updated by Microsoft via the Zune software, just like any other native Windows Phone. The ROM also seems to retain its jailbreak state after updates, which is great for those looking for registry editing or side-loading of apps. So for all you HD2 users like me :D head over to xda and enjoy Mango, but make sure you read all the instructions before and acquaint yourself with the technical aspects. Once again thanks to the amazing devs at xda who made this possible.
