Emoticons/Smileys on Windows Phone

Lots of Windows Phone Emoticons !

One really cool feature Microsoft gave their Windows Phone platform was emoticons while texting. Now before some of you already start thinking that its not much of a big deal...I would suggest you stop reading. This article will take into account some of the aspects on how this feature can be further improved in the coming series of Windows Phone 8 which has already been RTM'd...but a minor software update by the OEM's can fix this perhaps. Now as you already see above there are a lot of hidden emoticons that you can send using the combinations above and there are more below.

Improvements !

Now as you on the left we have some standard set of emoticons which have been provided to us by the platform. Mainly in the first and second row of the keyboard. However taking a little close look, we notice some flaws: like the annoyed smiley which is actually supposed to be ":-\" becomes ":-/" on the keyboard which of course makes the smiley just a set of unicode characters instead of the good image MSFT gave us. I would say this prolly would be a minor typo by the person who was in-charge...I would still appreciate if it gets fixed.

Now looking at the image on the right !! Common.....who uses those sets of emoticons/smileys ! Please Microsoft we can instead use the space to rather accommodate the other nice smileys we have hidden.

So I really hope this is one of the suggested features or makes it in Windows Phone 8. If there's any WinPhan reading this...please spread the word.

Thanks for your time.
